I was asked to design a music CD cover for a flute player Mrs. MaƂgorzata Wojciechowska. Recording presents selected sonatas by Berliner composers such as Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Franrisek Benda or Friedrich der Grosse. The CD was released by Polskie Radio (Polish National Radio) which is one of the mayor radio stations in the country.

Because of the character of the release ('serious' or classical music in most cases is targeted to a different age and social group than pop or dance music) I knew I had to respect some of the graphic elements to make the release look contemporary but 'classic' at the same time. I tried to achieve this by using timeless typography and centered composition and juxtaposing it with contemporary elements - use of colour, abstract shapes.

A series of covers for Top Billin (http://topbillinmusic.com/) records, Helsinki, Finland.
Top Billin records is a small but well known label releasing contemporary club music on vinyl and as a mp3 releases.

Since this was a digital-only release it was crucial to design the typography in a way that would be clearly visible when published on digital retailers like Beatport, Juno Downloads or Turntablelab.

The music style of the release is inspired by african music so I wanted the cover in the background to correspond with the musical style of the release.

This is the cover I prepared for the Venus Febriculosa's (http://venusfebriculosa.com/) contest for the cover of Umberto Eco's classic novel "The Name Of The Rose".
5 X 8 inch cover was designed using Adobe Illustrator.
Multiple colour tones of the rose symbolize the many meanings of the rose as well as different plots from the book.
The black smudge symbolizes the poisoned book and death.
